Inside Illustration Season 6 – Fashion Illustration

The sixth season of Inside Illustration is now available, and the theme for the new multi-platform season for AOI Members is illustration for fashion related projects.

This area of illustration isn’t solely images of amazing clothes on beautiful people, it encompasses a whole range of approaches to the figure and garments, and embraces live drawing, beauty products and accessories and images that effectively consider what illustrated characters are wearing.

This Inside Illustration season includes a Podcast with top guests, a four part Creative Course on book covers for members, an in-depth Article, interview with a top fashion illustration agent, a Folio of members’ work, and a comprehensive How To get into Fashion Illustration resource for those interested in exploring this season’s theme.

The Podcast

In this episode we’re discussing illustration created for fashion, and guests for the Fashion Illustration season podcast are prize-winning illustrator, Jessica Rose Bird, plus artist and illustrator Daniel David Freeman, whose clients include Prada, Versace, Simone Rocha and more. Both artists use a variety of materials and approaches, creating work which continues to evolve throughout their careers.

In conversation with our guests is host is Rachel Emily Taylor, artist, writer and BA Course Leader at Camberwell College of Art.
