- Why did you create this work?
We were commissioned a hand-painted basketball court in the city of Abbadia San Salvatore, Tuscany.
We painted a giant figure towering over the court: a Zeus-like giant blending in with our geometric shapes and holding a basketball as if it were some sacred object. The lighting bolts and the surrounding decorative elements are inspired by the coat of arms of the city. - How were your illustrations used?
As we usually do with this kind of project, we both designed the artwork and physically painted the piece on the ground. - What materials and techniques did you use?
While the design phase is carried out through Illustrator, Photoshop and hand-drawn sketches, we then paint our artworks with brushes and paint-rollers.
We only employ state-of-the-art products and paints that can guarantee the needed texture and grip in order to make the court usable for sport. - Was this project commissioned?
