- Why did you create this work?
Workmate Company asked me to design a mural to show the world the story of their company. They coach people with distance to the labor market to grow and to learn crafts such as ceramics, painting and making furniture. I visited their place and it was clear to me that an energetic, positive illustration with people creating and growing together would be the best representation of this company. - How were your illustrations used?
The illustrations are attached to the window to create a big mural from 16 meters long which you can see very well from the road in front of the building. - What materials and techniques did you use?
I illustrated the final work in photoshop and its printed on window foil. - Was this project commissioned?

Workmate Company - Biography
Suzan Hijink is an illustrator, who lives in Arnhem in The Netherlands. She loves to work with tight deadlines on editorial illustrations for newspapers and magazines. And when she’s not drawing the news; she enjoys working on bigger projects, like murals, wallpaper designs, public artworks and ceramic artworks. - Where are you currently based?
