She/Her - Why did you create this work?
I created this book cover as a portfolio piece, while completing a mentorship program with Giuseppe Castellano from The Illustration Department. I was inspired by my mother’s vintage matchbox collection that rests inside a big glass jar in her living room. - How were your illustrations used?

Sofia Mallo is an Argentinian illustrator based in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. She has a bachelor’s in graphic design and has been working as a freelance illustrator since 2015; conveying concepts and solving problems for a variety of clients.
