She/Her - Why did you create this work?
The Visit to the Museum is a series of environmental design illustrations showing a whimsical museum tour. It features three exhibition halls: the Asian Art Collection, the Taxidermy and Jewelry Collection, and the Egyptian Art Collection. Inspired by museums in New York, the work explores surreal and imaginative experiences. - How were your illustrations used?
This work was a part of my school project, and it will be shown at the SVA Chelsea Gallery as part of an exhibition called The Visit to the Museum. - What materials and techniques did you use?
I worked with traditional materials, such as watercolor and colored pencils. - Was this project commissioned?

Sitong Liu is an illustrator and set designer based in New York, originally from Changchun, China.
She began her art career in Beijing in 2020. In 2024, Sitong graduated from the School of Visual Arts with a bachelor's degree in Illustration and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in the School of Visual Arts' Illustration as Visual Essay program. - Where are you currently based?
