she/her - Why did you create this work?
This GIF was created for lunar new year of the wood dragon (2024). I wanted to steer away from illustrating a traditional dragon so I ended up with this pangolin-like critter whose scales transform out of a pine cone. - How were your illustrations used?

Rina Jost is an illustrator based in Thurgau, Switzerland.
She holds a BA degree in Communication Design with specialisation in Illustration Fiction from the University of Applied Arts of Lucerne. Rina works for cultural and corporate clients while also pursuing her own projects. Her graphic novel WEG (German) was published in 2023. - Where are you currently based?
