She/Her - Why did you create this work?
I was commissioned by HP to create an illustration for the launch of their new Customer Welcome Center in Singapore. Inspired by the HP slogan "Keep Reinventing", the illustration shows Singapore city in a state of evolution an change, embracing elements of the past (left) and present (middle), whilst looking towards future possibilities (right). To highlight Hp's printing capabilities, I embedded some visual nods to their technology and packed the illustration with detailed line work. - How were your illustrations used?
The image covered the wall of HP centre's front entrance. It was to function as both a photo back drop for visitors to the space as well as a demonstration of HP's sharp printing capabilities. Hence the client requested that the illustration include the Singapore Skyline so that audiences could identify the location of this new HP centre. - What materials and techniques did you use?
The artwork was created using Procreate. It was printed on a Linen textured wallpaper material using HP's printing solutions, by Trio Packaging Pte Ltd. - Was this project commissioned?

Priscilla Tey is a Singaporean illustrator, multimedia artist and author. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), she is known for her picture books published by Candlewick Press (USA). Storytelling is central to her practice and she enjoys being versatile in how she conveys these tales visually. From books to packaging and large scale installations, Tey illustrates for various brands, creating new visual experiences and narratives in traditional, print and digital media. - Where are you currently based?
