She/They - Why did you create this work?
This self-initiated project was inspired by my childhood favorite zoo that I used to visit with my parents. I want to create a series of design that capture the whimsy I felt during visits with my family while honoring Oakland Zoo’s dedication to the welfare of its animal residents. I hope to explore a playful aesthetic that appeal to children and adults alike. - How were your illustrations used?
This project was imagined as part of a branding of the Oakland zoo. With logo, tickets, map, and other illustrated assets that can be used, distributed, and collected to inspire long lasting joyful memories. - What materials and techniques did you use?
