  • Why did you create this work?
This illustration is the first page of my self-initiated picture book, Betty’s Bugs. The story follows Betty, a girl who tries to be perfect at everything—until self-doubt starts creeping in. Each time she stumbles, she finds a new "bug," a little voice that reminds her of her flaws. As the bugs multiply, Betty loses confidence, but with a little help, she learns that mistakes are part of life. This project is all about perfectionism, self-doubt, and learning to be kind to yourself.
