She - Why did you create this work?
The illustrations were created for “Yhden pallon visiot” (One Planet Visions) – a project on sustainable transformation that brought together the work of researchers, writers and visual artists. I was asked to illustrate one of six future vision short stories. The story is called “Tillbaka till 2050” (Back to 2050), it is written by Lars Sund and takes place in Helsinki in the year 2050. - How were your illustrations used?
My illustrations were published digitally on a web page together with the short story, and as prints in the form of an exhibition in several locations in Finland in 2024. The exhibition visitors could listen to the stories in audio format while the illustrations were exhibited as prints. - What materials and techniques did you use?
I used ink and brush on watercolour paper for the drawings. I colored the drawings digitally in Photoshop. - Was this project commissioned?
