She/Her - Why did you create this work?
I was commissioned by PT Transjakarta to illustrate their buses for celebrating Indonesia's 78th Independence Day. The theme was Indonesian Culture, and I depicted the Tomohon Flower Festival held in North Sulawesi. The colorful chrysanthemums with cheerful parade from cute creatures would be a perfect refreshment for the busiest city in Indonesia. - How were your illustrations used?
This illustration was displayed on a double-decker bus, a type of sightseeing bus that circulated around the central area of Jakarta. The bus will pass by various city landmarks such as Monas and Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, the main and largest stadium in Indonesia. According to its brief, I brought the colorful Tomohon Flower Festival to the heart of the country. - What materials and techniques did you use?
I used Procreate and their default brushes for this one, edited on Photoshop later for size adjustment. Printed on vinyl sticker and applied to the bus. - Was this project commissioned?
