  • Why did you create this work?
Representing quantum mechanics is a challenging task, as we live in a classical world and can’t truly 'see' the quantum realm. The goal of this illustration is capturing the mystery and surprise that emerge from exploring quantum reference frames. I wanted to provoke a sense of wonder, inviting the viewer to reflect on how small shifts in perspective can change our understanding of reality.
  • How were your illustrations used?
The illustration was published on Quanta Magazine’s website and Instagram page, as part of its digital media content. Since Quanta is an online-only publication, the artwork was used exclusively in digital formats to accompany the article.
  • What materials and techniques did you use?
I created the illustration digitally using Photoshop and Procreate. The minimal chromatic scheme—cold tones contrasted with warm accents—helps guide the viewer’s attention. The warm hues emphasize the object where the quantum mystery unfolds, adding a dreamy touch to the piece.
