She/Her - Why did you create this work?
Inspired by my own experiences of immigration and the challenges of finding a place to belong, Home Bound explores the universal longing for a place to call home. The wordless graphic novel follows a woman and her suitcase as they step off a train, embarking on a journey through surrealism and dystopia, fairytale and horror, futurism and naturalism. Their search reflects themes of identity, safety, and the meaning of 'home,' offering a deeply personal yet universal exploration of these ideas.
