She/Her - Why did you create this work?
I was commissioned to create an illustrated map showing the Rosewood Hotel in Hong Kong and its surrounding area, to be used on a variety of products. I used the Rosewood signature colours and included elements from the hotel itself within the illustration. I was asked for something fun, elegant, and representative of the hotel. - How were your illustrations used?
My illustrations were used on delicate fine bone china candle holders with lids, plus a set of four embossed ceramic coasters. - What materials and techniques did you use?
I drew the original map illustration by hand in pen and ink, scanned it into the computer, and used Photoshop to add colour and patterns. I adapted the illustration to fit the two different 3D products. - Was this project commissioned?
