She/Her - Why did you create this work?
I was invited to participate in the collective project ‘The Sevillaner’ to illustrate one of their fictional magazine covers inspired by ‘The New Yorker’. They give artists total freedom to convey their own vision of the city. - How were your illustrations used?
It was applied to fine art prints and participates on group exhibitions organized by ‘The Sevillaner’ collective. - What materials and techniques did you use?

María José Calderón is a freelance selft-taught illustrator based in Spain. She studied Architecture at the University of Seville and currently combines her work as an architect with illustration and collaborates with local art shops and galleries. She has a love for details and storytelling and is interested in editorial work and picture books. - Where are you currently based?
