He/Him - Why did you create this work?
Sadness and fear, their purpose when we process our emotions has always interested me. I translate it into a narrative from the point of a dog wanting to be there for his kid, through his company. A dog can't see colours, but can provide reassurance. I wanted to use the clouds around them as analogies, meaning that even if they are grey, they can be soft and okay with feeling or looking sad. - How were your illustrations used?
These were illustrations created for one of my final projects for my course. In this case, a picture book. - What materials and techniques did you use?
My images were created through a printmaking method called monoprint. Also used coloured pencils for some details. - Was this project commissioned?
