She/Her - Why did you create this work?
During my night shifts, I was drawn to performers who looked bright on stage but were quietly tired inside. Beneath their polished image lies quiet exhaustion shaped by the pressure of constant gaze and consumption, like cats bred for appearance and shaped to please. Through this piece, I wanted to reflect their hidden struggles and the fragile light they carry. - How were your illustrations used?
This illustration was created for competition entry and has potential applications in digital and editorial use. It explores cabaret aesthetics, identity, and the parallels between bred cats and nightlife performers. - What materials and techniques did you use?
