Jeff is a Piñata Maker, Art Director, Graphic designer, Artist, and Illustrator born in Caracas Venezuela, and now living in Los Ángeles, California.
After graduating with a BFA and honours in Graphic Design and Visual Communications, Jeff went on to work with many prestigious institutions such as the Museum of Contemporary Art of Caracas, the European Philharmonic of Switzerland, and New York Theatre Barn, among others.
Jeff is currently the Art Director and Senior Designer at Tra Publishing @trapublishing. In addition to his professional designer experience, Jeff has also developed investigative, artistic, and creative projects specializing in piñata making, a passion he’s had since childhood. This piñata passion is developed in a studio with his partner Leo at @thepinataguys, where they create vibrant and unique works of art. It’s not just piñatas they focus on, but also a range of creative disciplines, including puppets, costumes, art, and design, allowing them to explore and express their creativity in many forms.
Some of the books he has designed have been acquired by institutions such as THE MET: The Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York), Pérez Art Museum, New York Public Library, and The Bodleian Library at Oxford University, among others, and recognized in Spain, Italy, Germany, Slovakia, Canada, and The United States.
