He/Him - Why did you create this work?
I created this illustration for the "Beforeplay" campaign to encourage, educate, and raise awareness about STIs among individuals aged 15 to 34. Sexual health is crucial, yet STIs can have serious consequences. Many of the target audience come from South-east Asian and Arab cultures, where discussions about sexual health and safe sex are often taboo. This lack of openness has contributed to a rising STI rate in these communities in Australia, making the campaign’s message even more urgent. - How were your illustrations used?
The "Safe Spectrum" artwork will be featured in a carousel social post, poster, postcard, and FAQ sheet throughout the "Beforeplay" campaign period. - What materials and techniques did you use?
