She/her - Why did you create this work?
I wanted to show people alongside the common urban wild animals of Seattle. The animals appearing on the chocolate are more accepted in the city’s gentrified areas, while the animals in the dumpster are often considered dirty or nuisances. All the chocolates were inspired by real life chocolates from the store’s Yelp page. - How were your illustrations used?
This illustration appeared alongside an article about dumpster diving at Theo's Chocolate Factory in the gentrifying Pacific Northwest. - What materials and techniques did you use?
