she - Why did you create this work?
My work is about the importance of the touch in our lives, the impact it has on our bodies and minds. It can save us, soothe us, give us pleasure but also pain. In a society where human contact becomes more distant and digital, when shame, hate, fear and alienation disconnect us, we are forgetting one of our most essential senses that connect us to each other and to ourselves. We are loosing touch - How were your illustrations used?
It is currently a personal project, as it is still in process, but would like to develop an exhibition out of it and later an illustrated book. - What materials and techniques did you use?

Djoïna is a french illustrator based in London. Graduated in fashion design, she then started to work as a freelance illustrator and create visual content for divers clients in various fields. Co-author of two published graphic novels, she uses illustration as a tool to reach people and tell stories. She also develops her art through a series of prints and paintings exploring the human form. - Where are you currently based?
