He/Him - Why did you create this work?
It was an open brief from Garage Project. GP are always open to anarchic art and are off the wall and I wanted to continue that with my illustration. The beer was released in the Southern Hemisphere summer, so I played around with the camping theme. While exploring ideas, I came up with the concept of using two strong metaphors i.e. the monster being the beer and caravan the can. The rich colours suggest the strong flavours within. - How were your illustrations used?
The Can label and social media, advertising and POS. here in NZ and Australia. - What materials and techniques did you use?
I used Adobe Photoshop and digital textures and tools also my own texture library. - Was this project commissioned?

daronparton - Biography
daron has been illustrating for thirty years. He graduated from Central St Martins and started on Editorial work for UK Magazine ie GQ, Esquire, the Guardian etc and other publications. He moved to NZ wife his Kiwi partner and continued to work in Packaging, Publishing, Editorial and Advertising.
daron also paints and has sold here and overseas. - Where are you currently based?
