  • Why did you create this work?
I was commissioned by Stanford Magazine to illustrate a cover & DPS for an article about academia vs the burgeoning use of psychedelics in mental health. It posed questions including whether the treatment is guided by science or "hype". Researchers are conducting studies on psilocybin (magic mushrooms) and other psychedelics to guide treatment in a culture plagued by mental health crises. The history of psychedelics around Stanford in the '60s, still plays a role in where we go from here.
