she/her - Why did you create this work?
I was honored to be commissioned to create this mural for the School of Visual Art and Design at the University of South Carolina in celebration of its 100th anniversary. The SVAD serves as a second home for many students who dedicate countless hours bringing their creative ideas to life. I created this mural to celebrate the diverse creative talents and majors nurtured within the school, adding a fun and colorful touch to the building. - How were your illustrations used?
The mural is currently on display at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC, McMaster College, which houses the School of Visual Art and Design. - What materials and techniques did you use?
My mural began as a simple sketch in my sketchbook, which I pitched to my professor during the early stages of the process. As I developed the design further, I brought my illustration into Procreate until both the client and I were satisfied. Finally, I used Adobe Illustrator to vectorize the mural - Was this project commissioned?
