- Why did you create this work?
This painting outside on the floor was created for festival The Art Department. I was asked to make a design for this 40×40m square, inspired by the festival. As TAD is all about creativity and fantasy, I made people with animal-like outfits playing with paint, leaving traces. It is an invitation as an adult to go stamping and stomping, play! It was fun to paint people who are playing with paint. - How were your illustrations used?
It was a huge painting on the floor at Ketelhuisplein in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. The painting was meant to stay temporarily, so it faded after some weeks. It was open for everyone to see and enjoy. Already while painting, people from around were passing by, curiously. Also some crews where coming there to shoot. Normally the square is very gray, so this was a big transformation. - What materials and techniques did you use?
I used non-toxic plant-based paint, called Fairf. Since it was temporary and meant to fade out, I wanted to use paint without (micro) plastics. - Was this project commissioned?
