  • Why did you create this work?
A self-initiated project paying tribute to London—a city that revived me after a difficult time. Each map highlights places tied to healing, either alone or with someone I deeply loved during that period. The project has since grown to include Melbourne, Sydney, New York, and Tokyo, and is continuously expanding.
  • How were your illustrations used?
Clumsy Maps has been used in various ways, including being sold as prints on my online store or at large Australian design markets such as Finder's Keepers and Big Design Market. Recently, they have been used for commission purposes for both private and commercial clients too across advertising and publications!
  • What materials and techniques did you use?
Initially created in Procreate using a gouache texture brush, they are then transferred into Illustrator and Photoshop for final touches. They have also been painted in acrylic on wood at a larger, cropped scale.
  • Was this project commissioned?
    Un-commissioned
