he/him - Why did you create this work?
I have spent 17 years making this book. It is a history of graphics, from prehistoric drawings to writing, print, tv, the internet, all the way to AI. I wanted to write the book because it is a history of not only information but also disinformation. When we see how information sources were corrupted in the past we can more easily see how they are being corrupted today. - How were your illustrations used?
The entire book acts as a timeline of graphics from the first known figurative images on cave walls to hieroglyphics to modern day graphical user interfaces.
The book also comes with a double sided pull out poster that shows the evolution all together in one graphic. - What materials and techniques did you use?
pencil, collage and digital - Was this project commissioned?
