  • Why did you create this work?
He explores new visual approaches to depicting the spaces and neighborhoods he calls home. In this work, he illustrates selected locations in Seoul, each rendered to scale within uniform square frames, reminiscent of precisely sliced pieces of cake. Through their careful arrangement, he creates the impression of a single, continuous space that defies the actual geographic distances between them.
  • How were your illustrations used?
This illustration project began as an experimental research piece inspired by his personal insights. He envisions it taking the form of a picture book that allows each individually crafted piece to be displayed in detail. Additionally, as demonstrated in the submitted image, he plans to present it as a single, large-scale poster—intricate, sophisticated, and complex in its design.
  • What materials and techniques did you use?
This work was created primarily with pen on paper. Each individual piece measures approximately 100mm by 100mm. After scanning the drawings, He used Photoshop to refine and edit the composition.
