He/Him - Why did you create this work?
This mural was commissioned by Think Beautiful Design as part of the Mexican restaurant Wahaca in Canary Wharf refurbishment by Chris Bagot Architects.
The goal was to breathe new life to the blank walls inspired by Mexican culture nature combined with my own work.
The idea is based on creating an imaginary / surreal world but still with many recognisable elements that retain the interest.
- How were your illustrations used?
My illustrations were painted directly onto the staircase wall, lift entrance and bulkhead of the entrance lobby that leads to Wahaca Canary Wharf.
All surfaces were painted freehand with acrylic paint using brushes and rollers.
A scaffolding was installed, no projection was possible due to the complexity of the location. - What materials and techniques did you use?
