He/Him - Why did you create this work?
This was commissioned by the director of the short film titled 'Loo'. The film explores themes of class and caste divide and the hidden biases in people even while espousing progressive values. The film is set in Bangalore, India and focuses on two female protagonists. - How were your illustrations used?
It was used for the promotion of the short film and for submissions to film festivals. - What materials and techniques did you use?
The portraits and the background were done separately on procreate and then Photoshop was used to bring it all together along with some final colour corrections and adding the credit blocks and title. - Was this project commissioned?

Ashwin Jacob, a multidisciplinary artist from Kochi, began his journey with a degree in Architecture. He later transitioned into visual design, founding Studio Lore in Kochi. As the studio’s Creative Director, he dons many hats- illustrator, graphic designer, and UX designer. Since 2020, he has designed posters for independent films, gaining critical acclaim for his unique visual style. - Where are you currently based?
