She/Her - Why did you create this work?
"Soja the Cat" was inspired by meeting the newest feline member of my friends’ family on New Year’s Eve. Knowing their appreciation for Oriental culture—and that they chose the name Soja (meaning “Soy” in English)—I felt compelled to create something meaningful for their home. I also created a small animation to capture the cat's character. - How were your illustrations used?
I produced a limited edition of Giclée prints, which were well received and have become a distinctive part of my illustration portfolio. - What materials and techniques did you use?
I used Adobe Photoshop for both the illustration and animation. The digital medium allowed me to experiment with expressive textures and subtle motion to bring Soja’s character to life. - Was this project commissioned?
