He/him - Why did you create this work?
I was fired due to my Palestine advocacy as an in-house illustrator at renowned ad agency, I decided to double down on my advocacy. I had been working within advertising for 5 years frustrated at the double standards where Ukraine projects were supported/funded while silence and repercussions for those who spoke up for Palestine. I wanted to create something full of hope & to make a difference. - How were your illustrations used?
Posters are featured at Palestine house (the company that owns the drink), a cultural hub that opened up last year to celebrate Palestinian culture from poetry to music to food offering workshops and so much more. My illustrations are used on the Gaza cola website, their social media and at events where they sell these drinks and also posters for vendors. - What materials and techniques did you use?
I utilised original sketches, then created and polished up within procreate. I wanted to honour the culture of Palestine as we see so much of their land erased, capture the beauty of their culture. Using my creative skillset to draw attention to the richness in their history despite Israels war crimes of ethnic cleansing. - Was this project commissioned?

I am an illustrator that used to work at Mother London for over 5 years as an in-house illustrator, I often follow my heart and so I am terrible at finding commissions and instead seek out pro-bono causes that resonate with the soul that touch on humans rights and social justice. I like utilising my creative skillset to support causes that i find meaningful in a time where i see so much injustice. - Where are you currently based?
