He/Him - Why did you create this work?
I was commissioned by the Carlton Cannes luxury hotel in the south of France to illustrate and animate their winter 24/25 campaign.
How to amaze and illustrate how precious moments are magnified in such a place? I took the concept of making the trip to the Carlton… fantastic!
The journey towards the palace is as grandiose as the stay, as the true magic starts when you are just about to travel, so this is where I found inspiration. - How were your illustrations used?
This animation is the basis of the Carlton Cannes 2024/2025 winter campaign, as well as the signature of the new illustrative positioning of the Carlton Cannes. It has been used on all the comms material, sent to the press and posted on socials. The video is a part of a wider campaign and a new illustrative angle within the hotel. - What materials and techniques did you use?
Everything you see is drawn and animated by hand, using the traditional ‘celluloid animation’ technique, where most of the action is drawn frame by frame.
It’s a mixed techniques using pencil, paper, procreate dreams and a proper focus on sounds effects. - Was this project commissioned?

Paul Sirand is a French Illustrator based in Paris. In 2013, he co-founded Le Fruit Studio where he is creative director, alongside Gaspard Silvestre. Over the years his illustration has caught the attention of clients including The Ritz, Airbnb, Eurotunnel, Vanity Fair and Mini. Paul loves dogs and finds inspiration in nature.
