- Why did you create this work?
I live in the République district of Paris, which is the epicenter of all the protests. There is at least one each weekend. So, in order to bring some colors and give a smile to local people, I illustrated a cop dancing and printed each dance move on a separate sticker. Those stickers are everywhere around the Place, so people can photograph and collect them to recreate the full dance! - How were your illustrations used?
On each stickers, a part of the dance is printed. To reproduce the full dance, you’ll have to chase each stickers around the place (they’re easy to spot btw)!
- What materials and techniques did you use?
It’s a sketch, colorized and divided in each key frame. It’s a proper cell animation. You have around 30 different cops to create the move!

Paul Sirand is a French Illustrator, based in Paris. He’s inspired by his dogs and nature, and the tailored, well thought out look of uniforms, which he says are only legitimate in large numbers! Paul’s inspired by the way uniforms make a team look like a brand in itself.
Paul wishes to project an atmosphere with his work and thinks that a good image should be enough to tell a good story. - Where are you currently based?
