- Why did you create this work?
This diptych was created as a deeply personal exploration of the inner self, after a summer spent on the shores of the mediterranean sea. Mixing the classical genres of still lives and landscape paintings, the series explores the realm of the imaginary by way of scale confusion, symbolism and magic realism. - How were your illustrations used?

- Biography
Myriam Wares is a French-Canadian illustrator from Montreal. Initially a self-taught artist, she later completed her professional training in illustration at Dawson College. After a short period of employed work, she decided to launch her freelance business in 2019. She has since worked with clients from around the globe, on projects ranging from packaging design to editorial illustration, publishing and advertising. Her work has been recognized and awarded internationally. - Where are you currently based?
