They/Them or She/Her - Why did you create this work?
I created this work in a Comics and Illustration while on my exchange semester. For this project, we had to work on a short comic-story or series of illustrations. I wanted to explore the concept of death in a weird, slightly creepy and yet still cute way, so I chose to tell the reincarnation story of Uncle Herbert, and how this process is explained to a young bunny, Gideon, by his mother. - How were your illustrations used?
My comic is part of an ongoing fanzine project where I also elaborate on my thoughts on death and religion, relating also to my late grandmother, who always told me we would be born again. Although I'm not very religious myself, I find it interesting to speculate about what could happen! - What materials and techniques did you use?
I sketched the layout using a normal pencil in my sketchbook, and then cleaned everything up, did lineart and colors digitally, in Procreate. - Was this project commissioned?
