She - Why did you create this work?
This project was part of a group exhibition in Auckland exploring the cultural significance of food and communal dining. My piece celebrates the vibrant connections that form when diverse cultures come together over a meal, highlighting the joy, surprises, and unifying power of food through shared traditions and experiences. - How were your illustrations used?
The illustration was displayed at the collective exhibition in Auckland called Potluck, as well as on the poster for the gallery where the exhibition took place. - What materials and techniques did you use?
I began with sketches in ink on paper, capturing the essence of the landscapes and cultural elements. These sketches were then vectorised and digitally coloured using software like Adobe Illustrator, allowing for precise detailing and vibrant hues to bring the scenes to life in a modern style. - Was this project commissioned?
