  • Why did you create this work?
In collaboration with Amnesty International, I illustrated three solidarity postcards for their global Write for Rights campaign. These cards were created to support people unjustly convicted and their loved ones. It was important that the illustrations conveyed a message of hope and positivity, therefore I used bright and warm colours, and visual themes symbolising hope and luck.
  • How were your illustrations used?
In Belgium alone,19,395 cards were sent to victims and their loved ones. The cards made a deep impression on both the senders and the recipients, offering not only solidarity but also a sense of connection. Ultimately, two people were released due to the impact of this campaign.
  • What materials and techniques did you use?
I made these illustrations in Procreate on the Ipad.
