- Why did you create this work?
Our professor tasked us with designing a bottle of our choice and picking the content inside of our choice. We had a lot of free range on this project so it was very open-ended. I haven't gotten the chance to illustrate in a lot of school projects so that is something that I wanted to accomplish through fun, expressive, branded mascots. The rustic type and fun illustrative style lead to the creation of Cecile's Hot Sauce, based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. - How were your illustrations used?
Illustrations were applied on the front with the expressive animals and on the back with little scenes of where they live/are from. These animals are utilized throughout the brand as marketing and advertisement nods as well. - What materials and techniques did you use?
Plain glass bottles were used as the host for my hot sauce and card stock for my label design. The design was mainly created in Adobe Illustrator and Procreate. - Was this project commissioned?
