She/Her - Why did you create this work?
These four illustrations were created for a campaign raising awareness about antifeminism. They highlight key feminist milestones—the 1969 Stonewall resistance, 1973 Pierburg strike, 1977 marriage law reform, and 2017 #MeToo movement. The campaign reminds us that these rights were hard-won and are not guaranteed, while addressing the forces opposing feminist progress, both in Germany and globally. - How were your illustrations used?
The illustrations appeared on coasters and online. One side of each coaster bore the slogan "Früher hätt's nicht gegeben" ("That wouldn't have happened before."); the reverse showed a cropped image, a year, and a QR code. Scanning the code led to a website with a timeline of key feminist milestones, where the full image and its related achievement were revealed. - What materials and techniques did you use?
