It came together both conceptually and was visually appealing. I was proud of this piece!
What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
Getting to play around with how to visually represent a bad or glitchy connection.
What excites you most about being shortlisted?
Making new connections in the illustration community and hopefully reaching potential new clients.
Where do you usually work?
Mostly at my studio desk and occasionally on my couch.
How long did it take to complete your project?
Approximately 10 hours.
What is your dream commission?
A postage stamp, album artwork for a favorite band, movie poster for upcoming indie!
What’s your favourite thing to draw?
The challenge of marrying a good concept with pleasing visuals. And always flora.
What is your best tip for other illustrators?
BE NICE! Clients want to work more with someone who they enjoy the process with.
What are your plans for the future?
Continue to build and expand on my client base, get a rep, and make work for clients who put positivity out in the world.
