he - Why did you create this work?
Requested by the art editor of the literary magazine Pernambuco to illustrate a dossier celebrating Kafka's 100th birthday. Each text addresses an aspect of the writer's work, the illustrations aim to present a complementary perspective to what is said in the text. The labyrinth is a key metaphor for the cover and opening of the dossier. But at the same time, each topic covered in the dossier. - How were your illustrations used?
the main illustration with the author in his labyrinth was used on the cover of the June 2024 edition. The other illustrations were used to open each text in the magazine's core, some on a double page and interacting with the titles and subtitles of each topic covered. - What materials and techniques did you use?
graphite pencil on paper for sketches and photoshop software for colorization. - Was this project commissioned?

GREG is an illustrator and graphic designer. Known for his strong and expressive lines, he often expresses political and social opinions in his drawings. He won national and international awards, such as Best News Paper Design, World Press Cartoon, among others. Fé is also one of the founders of Livrinho de Papel Finíssimo, one of the most important independent publishers in Recife. - Where are you currently based?
