Why did you choose to enter this work?
I´m proud of the results of my work. It's my graduation project and I had put a lot of heart and time into it.
What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
From the idea to the final form is my idea. It came from the need and now makes me happy that I can share it with people. Probably I should translate it into English.
What excites you most about being shortlisted?
It's great to see my illustrations and design between wonderful artworks from illustrators from all around the globe.
Where do you usually work?
It depends on where I am at the moment. I have a desk in my room where I´m messing around. I have to tell you that the floor of the room is pretty often the working surface for me too.
How long did it take to complete your project?
Only research took me a few months because this work has connection with my master thesis. Collecting all the data, structurize it, and decision making after visual experiments... I can only say that
What is your dream commission?
Hard to choose one! I love Przekrój, its polish quarterly magazine. I wish to publish small comic stories or to draw tiny, funky characters jumping between articles!
What’s your favourite thing to draw?
No lies, animals (specially cats), and nature forever.
What is your best tip for other illustrators?
Sketch and note ideas, to not lose them. Some run away very fast!
