- Why did you create this work?
For Herr Menig, a small optician from Nuremberg, I have designed a series of two feminist icons of the twenty-first century: bell hooks and Susan Sontag, both powerful woman, who also often wore fancy glasses. - How were your illustrations used?
The illustrations are used on tote bags for customers, who buy glasses in the shop of Herr Menig. - What materials and techniques did you use?
I digitized analog drawings and then adapted them so that the bags can be screen printed. - Was this project commissioned?

I live in berlin and work as an illustrator and graphic designer. I am part of the studio wünsch & stömer, founded in 2022, and have been teaching illustration and conception at the design faculty in nuremberg since 2023. I work for publishing houses, cultural institutions, universities, companies, private individuals as well as trade journals and magazines. - Where are you currently based?
