He/Him - Why did you create this work?
Cover for a children's novel (middle grade). The brief was to create a cover focusing on the ship and the flame birds that feature in the story, but was otherwise quite open. The imagery in the text was rich with descriptions of colour and light and I wanted to convey this along with a sense of the swirling movement of sea and birds. I also hand lettered the title. - How were your illustrations used?
