He/Him - Why did you create this work?
We created a series of illustrations for Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group, a cutting-edge engineering company under Nikkiso Co. Ltd. As a rapidly growing organization, Nikkiso CE&IG sought to effectively connect with and engage international audiences across various channels. Their recent rebrand presented the perfect opportunity to craft a bold new illustration style—one that blends personality with precision and places Nikkiso’s people at the heart of the story. - How were your illustrations used?
The first set of illustrations were designed for an internal values book, aimed at making complex concepts about behaviour and collaboration easy to understand. Initially created for print, illustrations are being further developed into animations for digital channels and adapted for internal environments to keep the messages fresh and front of mind. - What materials and techniques did you use?
Started with discussions on the concept, focusing on the ideas that we needed to express, roughed coloured sketches to refine composition and message. Final step in illustrator to re-draw line-art and colour/refine. From illustrator to AfterEffects to add motion and exported animated Lottie SVGs. - Was this project commissioned?
