She/Her - Why did you create this work?
Inspired by the film Departures, which explores East Asian views on death, this project reflects on the warmth and reverence in those traditions. The film reminded me of my late relatives and personal memories. Through these illustrations, I hope to express how death is not an end, but a continuation of love and remembrance. - How were your illustrations used?
This is a personal project I created as a tribute to the film Departures. I designed the illustrations as concept posters to capture the mood and themes of the story. The work was shared on my website and social media to reflect my interest in narrative illustration and to build my portfolio. - What materials and techniques did you use?
I used Procreate for these poster illustrations. - Was this project commissioned?
