Preferred Pronoun?

Why did you choose to enter this work?
This project was inspired by my grandmother, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease. This experience made me want to explore time and memory, I wanted to depict the world of Alzheimer's patients.

What’s your favourite thing about your shortlisted project?
What surprised me the most was the experimental nature of monoprints, where each print is unique. These fragmented and blurry textures reveal the narrative potential of monoprints.

What excites you most about being shortlisted?
This is a great start for me. Although it's a small step, it is a significant leap for me. Being shortlisted is a huge encouragement and motivates me to continue creating.

Where do you usually work?
I completed this project mainly in the workshop. Currently, I primarily create on my iPad. However, I aspire to have my own studio one day, so I can freely explore printmaking.

How long did it take to complete your project?
This project took me almost two months. I experimented, explored, and reflected repeatedly before finalizing the form of the work.

What’s your favourite thing to draw?
I love drawing people and nature, including scenes from everyday life such as parks, cafes, and music festivals. I also enjoy sketching, as it helps me relax.

What is your best tip for other illustrators?
Maintain the habit of sketching and thinking. Treat drawing as something enjoyable, without the pressure of making it perfect. Use drawing as a way to record thoughts and inspiration.
