She/Her - Why did you create this work?
This work was created as part of an academy assignment. The task was to choose a song and create an illustration inspired by its lyrics, either by interpreting the narrative directly or capturing the overall mood and themes. I selected "Looking Back from the Future" by Koreatown Oddity and translated its unique story into a comic-style visual, aiming to reflect the song's essence and invite a deeper emotional connection. - How were your illustrations used?
The illustrations were created as a poster to visually interpret the song. They were used for the academy assignment. - What materials and techniques did you use?
I used Adobe Illustrator to create vector illustrations and Photoshop for the final step, adding texture. I focused on traditional drawing techniques to capture the song's mood, helping me visually interpret the lyrics. - Was this project commissioned?
