The brief was to create two illustrations and an animation representing data in the form of weather fronts/digital rain for an article on AI weather prediction. - How were your illustrations used?
The illustrations were used on the cover and inside the printed 'The Future Of Everything' supplement and the animation was used for the online edition. - What materials and techniques did you use?
The illustrations were created in Photoshop with 3d modelled clouds, landscape and MoGraph rain elements composited in After Effects for the online looping animation sequence. - Was this project commissioned?

Andy Potts is an award-winning UK illustrator and animator based in Margate known for his eye-catching imagery and motion work. His versatile style is a digital blend of collaged elements including textures, photography and 3D, often rendered in vivid colour. Originally from Kingswinford in the UK, he graduated with a BA Hons degree in illustration from Portsmouth University in 1995 and has over twenty years of experience working for a wide variety of international clients. - Where are you currently based?
